Dr. Pilgrim is the Enterprise Chief Medical Officer for SCP Health. An emergency physician for over 25 years, he has served in numerous national leadership roles, including four terms as Chair of EDPMA’s Board of Directors. He has regularly advocated for state, federal, and public policy issues that affect the future of emergency care. He co-chairs ACEP’s Task Force on Alternative Payment Models and EDPMA’s Federal Health Policy Committee. He serves as a faculty member for ACEP’s ED Director Academy, and has lectured with the IOM’s dissemination workshop series, “Hospital-Based Emergency Care, At the Breaking Point”. Most recently, he has worked intensively on the EDPMA/ACEP Steering Committee for the implementation of the nation’s first-ever No Surprises Act. He lives and works in Lafayette, Louisiana.
